There’s something so special about capturing a baby’s first birthday. It’s a milestone that brings together all the precious memories of that first year — the first smiles, the first steps, and, of course, the first taste of birthday cake! For 1-year-old Noah, we celebrated in style at my Tawa Photography Studio with a cake smash session full of blue, white, and gold fun.
As soon as Noah arrived at the studio, I could tell he was going to have a blast. His curious eyes lit up when he saw the setup, and the gorgeous blue, white, and gold theme made the perfect backdrop for his big day. With a cake that looked almost too good to smash, we started the session off with a bit of anticipation — would Noah dive straight in or take his time?
Turns out, Noah was a little cake connoisseur! He carefully explored the cake, taking his time to enjoy every bit of icing. It was adorable watching him figure it all out. But while he certainly enjoyed his cake, it was the next part that brought out the biggest grins.
After the cake smash, we moved on to the bubble bath — and that’s when Noah’s joy truly exploded! The moment those bubbles hit the water, his giggles filled the room. He splashed, he played, and he gave us the kind of beaming smiles that melt your heart. I could barely keep up with my camera to catch all the cuteness as he splashed with sheer joy. It was clear that Noah was in his element!
The combination of the playful blue, white, and gold theme and Noah’s bubbly personality made this session unforgettable. It’s moments like these that I love capturing — the pure happiness and excitement of little ones experiencing something new and fun.
