Last month, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura's family of five at my Tawa photography studio. This fun and relaxed shoot was all about capturing the joy and connection between her gorgeous family in a simple, relaxed way.
We kept the vibe soft and timeless with a gorgeous cream backdrop, and the family chose outfits in creams, blues and jeans—such a perfect combo for a fresh, cohesive look! With everyone coordinating, it really allowed their personalities to shine through without any distractions.
From the moment they walked in, I could tell this was going to be a great session. Laura and her family have such a wonderful energy together. The kids were full of life, and we had plenty of giggles throughout the shoot— as Laura and I did are best impressions of animals at the zoo!
One of the highlights for me when photographing a family photo session is seeing how the family interacts, especially the kids. We got some lovely shots of them being their natural, playful selves, which is exactly what I aim for in my sessions.
As we wrapped up, I couldn’t help but feel excited for Laura and her family to see the final images. Sessions like this are what it’s all about—capturing real, beautiful moments that tell the story of a family just as they are in this moment.
